Umut’s Seminar at MSU Is Over!

The MOLEN PI, Dr. Umut Toprak has delivered a seminar “A new model to study non-alcoholic fatty liver syndrome and obesity: The Colorado potato beetle” at the Dept. of Entomology, Michigan State University on Tuesday April 9, 2024. The seminar received great attention and also followed online by many colleagues through the MSU online zoom portal.  The seminar was hosted by Dr. David Mota-Sanchez, who is a a leading scientist in the field of Insect toxicology and insecticide resistance, and was also one of the keynote speakers of IMPPC2023 chaired by Umut.  A lunch was organized before the seminar, and Umut had the chance of meeting and talking to the grad students at the Dept of Entomology, MSU. After the seminar, Umut had also the opportunity for a quick city tour at the MSU Campus and in Lansing, the Capital of Michigan.
