Umut and Solmaz attended EMC2022-Antalya!

Umut and Solmaz attended the 8th International Congress of Entomopathogens and Microbial Control” in Antalya, Türkiye on Oct 6-8, 2022. The congress was held at the Western Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute (BATEM) Congress Center. Umut delivered a talk on “Biological efficacy of two Local Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis isolates on mosquito larvae”, while Solmaz’s talk was on “Synergistic enhancement of a nuclear polyhedrosis virus isolated from Spodoptera exigua (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in Türkiye”. Both talks received great attention. Umut was also a co-author through his collaborations with Dr. Kazım Sezen of Karadeniz Technical Universirty, including “Development of a Bacillus thuringiensis ssp. kurstaki-based Biopesticide: Effective on the European Grapevine Moth [Lobesia botrana Den.-Schiff. (Lep.: Tortricidae)]” and “Characterization and Insecticidal Activity of vip3 Protein in Bacillus thuringiensis Isolates”. Umut also moderated a session in EMC2022.
