Stanford University recently released the list of the World’s Top 2% of Scientists in the updated Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators on the 10th of October 2022. The analysis was prepared by a team of experts led by Professor John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University. We are very proud to indicate that the Molen PI, Umut, has been enlisted in the ‘World Ranking Top 2% Scientists’ list, 2022! 29 scientists from Ankara University have been included in the list. Umut was one of the three scientists from College of Agriculture and the only one in the field of Biology.
This career-long database and single-year dataset considered 195,605 scientists and 200,409 scientists respectively from 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields. The selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field. Calculations were performed using all Scopus author profiles as of September 1, 2022. The database of top-cited scientists provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
