In our recent paper which is under press in Crop protection, the lipid synthesis inhibitor spiromesifen was found to be effective against 7 of the 9 sampled T. urticae populations collected from Türkiye. However, two populations showed more than 60-fold resistance to spiromesifen. Mechanism-wise, P450s play a role in spiromesifen resistance. Additionally, we detected a target-site mutation F1640L in ACCase, the target site of spiromesifen. As a final notice, higher expression of ACCase could also contribute to resistance.
