The representatives of Agrobest, Doğal Kimya, FMC, Syngenta and UPL (ordered in alphabetical order) visited MOLEN! We were very glad to host Dr. Ahmet Elmacı (Technical Manager), Faruk Doğan (Chemist and Registration Specialist), and Burak Erduran (Technical Responsible) from Agrobest; M. Murat Türkmenoğlu (Board Member, Technical Marketing & Business Development) from Doğal Kimya; Dr. Murat Kahyaoğlu (Technical Manager) from FMC; Dr. Emin Özer (Business Sustainability Lead TR/AME from Syngenta and ZİMİD President); Halil Köstekli (Marketing and Business Development Manager), Murat Ergül ( Product Development Manager), İlker Aydın (Mid-Anatolia & Blacksea Region Manager), Şule Ercan (Marketing Communications Assistant), Berat Palalı (Mid-Anatolia Sales Representative), Uğur İnci (Technical Representative), and Ahmet Rasim Serdaroğlu (Technical Representative) from UPL. In the visit, Professor Christelle Guédot (University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA, Dept. of Entomology), Sevcan Şahin (Embassy of Brazil in Ankara), Dr. Sait Ertürk (Central Plant Protection Research Institute) and Professor Enver Durmuşoğlu (General Secretary of ZİMİD) also accompanied the group. The guests were informed on the capability of the facility on molecular insect research. Current ongoing projects together with the studies on the development of chemical alternatives for pest control were also introduced. Tests and diagnostic molecular tools used for resistance determination were also introduced.
