Umut visited AAFC, Saskatoon, Canada!

Umut has been to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Saskatoon, Dr. Dwayne Hegedus’s lab to follow up the research collaboration on “the lipid metabolism of Colorado potato beetle (CPB)” last November. Dwayne is Umut’s Ph.D supervisor and they continue to collaborate. The current collaboration is supported by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) and significant progress has been achieved to date through the project as the major proteins involved in the lipid metabolism of the CPB have been already characterized. The research group has completed the bioinformatic analyses this time in the visit of Umut and now is preparing the manuscripts for submission! Of course, they needed the famous coffee of Tim Hortons when preparing the manuscripts (Umut and Dwayne in front of the AAFC, getting ready to start working)!
