Umut was recently assigned to be the Section Editor for “Molecular Physiology” in Elsevier’s prestigious insect journal “Current Opinion in Insect Science (IF:5.8)! In this new role, Dr. Umut will be responsible for the Molecular physiology section of the 2026 issue.
“The Current Opinion journals” are unique in the way they systematically review each life science in a series of themed issues or “sections”. Current Opinion in Insect Science is a systematic review journal that provides specialists with a unique and educational platform to keep up to date with the expanding volume of information published in the field of Insect Science. The journal aims to provide a comprehensive and objective literature review of the field by ensuring that all topics within the themed section are covered. Section Editors, who are major authorities in their area, are appointed by the Editorial Board members and the Editors in Chief of the journal based on their knowledge and expertise in the field.
