EMC2024 is Over!

One great organization, the 9. International Entomopathogens and Microbial Control Congress 2024 (EMC 24) was just completed! The meeting was held in beautiful Trabzon, Türkiye, on 28-31 October 2024 at the great campus of Karadeniz Technical University (KTU), the Osman Turan Congress Centre. The congress is chaired by Drs. İsmail Demir and Remziye Nalçıcıoğlu (both from Karadeniz Technical University). Dr. Zihni Demirbağ, who initiated the EMC congress series, served as the honorary chair. The Molen PI, Dr. Umut Toprak, delivered a keynote talk, “Nature’s gift: Next generation bioinsecticides” and moderated a session. Dr. Umut was also involved in the closing ceremony and evaluated the congress’s overall success. The Molen Lab Manager Gökçe Hasdemir also accompanied Dr. Umut in the congress.  During the conference on October 29, we also celebrated the 101st anniversary of our Republic with great enthusiasm, pride, and excitement! The congress was completed with a great closing gala dinner and a post-conference Batumi-Georgia Tour.
