Umut, Dr. Russell Groves (University of Wisconsin Madison, USA) and Dr. Daniel A. Hahn (University of Florida, USA) will be organizing a hot topic symposium “Cross-roads of Diapause and Metabolism” at the upcoming Annual Joint Meeting of Entomological Society of America and Entomological Society of Canada, that will be held in Vancouver, Canada on November 13-16, 2022! The symposium aims to bring scientists and students studying diapause and metabolism and will be held as a “section symposium” of the Physiology, Biochemistry, and Toxicology (PBT) Section of ESA. Nine speakers those already agreed to give a talk are :

- Jacqueline Lebenzon, University of California, Berkeley, USA “Mitochondrial homeostasis and metabolic suppression during diapause in the Colorado potato beetle”
