Umut and Dr. Gokhan Soylemezoglu from Agriancyra Ltd. attended a business meeting on the development of Aquaponics sysyem in collaboration with the company “Tankmaker”. Through the visit, Umut and Gokhan visited the aquaponics factory of Tankmaker.
Aquaponics is a food production system that aims to integrate hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) with aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as fish, prawns etc in special tanks) with whereby the nutrient-rich aquaculture water is fed to hydroponically grown plants. The plant production system through aquaponics is pesticide free and provides sustainable food production.
