A New Nanoformulation from MOLEN!

News

Our latest study presents an innovative approach to sustainable pest management using a novel nano-enhanced formulation of baculoviruses! By integrating carbon quantum dot nanoparticles (CQDNPs) with Spodoptera littoralis nucleopolyhedrovirus (SpliNPV), we achieved superior efficacy in controlling S. littoralis, a significant agricultural pest. The nanoparticle-based suspoemulsion formulation (SENP) demonstrated improved pest mortality and reduced killing time under laboratory and greenhouse conditions. This work highlights the potential of nanotechnology to enhance biological control methods, providing an eco-friendly alternative to chemical pesticides for sustainable agriculture!
