The E.U.-based COST project proposal “Group on Insect Nutrition: To Open Nutritional Innovative Challenges” in which the MOLEN PI Dr. Umut Toprak was also involved got accepted! The project aims to understand the nutritional and dietary requirements of insects, which would lead to decrease financial and environmental costs, and increase yields. In this way, high quality protein is produced, associated environmental impact decreases and waste cannot only
be managed, it can be valorized. The member countries of the project are:
