The MOLEN PI, Dr. Umut Toprak delivered a seminar “A new model to study non-alcoholic fatty liver syndrome and obesity: The Colorado potato beetle” at the Dept. of Entomology, University of Wisconsin, Madison (UWM) on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. UWM Academic Staff and many graduate students attended the seminar. A lunch was organized before the seminar, and Umut had the chance to meet and talk to the grad students. During the one-day visit, Umut had also the opportunity to meet the UWM faculty Drs. Russ Groves, Susan Paskewitz, and Sean Schoville, and discuss collaboration possibilities on tick control and the genetical background of Colorado potato beetle geographic distribution.
