Molen Students have Made Great Presentations at ECE2023!

Molen students Solmaz Ghanbari, Betül Yılmaz, Pınar Öztekin and İdil Osan have made great oral presentations in the Physiology & Biochemistry Sessions of the XII European Congress of Entomology (ECE 2023), held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece on 16-20 October 2023! Solmaz’s talk “Am I overweight?” New insights into Adipokinetic hormone (AKH) pathway in Colorado potato beetle Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)”, and Pınar’s talk “Comparative efficacy of a recombinant and chemically-synthesized spider toxin peptide against Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)” were given at the session on “Recent Insights into Peptide Research in Insects”. İdil’s talk “Characterization of a phospholipase A(1)-like protein and its potential role in the lipid metabolism of Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)” and Betül’s talk “New target Sites in the control of Myzus persicae (Hemiptera: Aphididae) by RNAi: Facilitated glucose transporter member 1-Like (FTG1) and protein transport protein (Sec23A)” was under the session “From Digestion Towards Metabolism & Immunity “.
